What areas do you travel to?

We service most of Mendocino County. We generally work between Leggett and Westport to the north, and between Hopland and Sea Ranch to the south. Other places we service are Willits, Redwood Valley, Potter Valley, and Ukiah. Dr. Willson is located on the coast, so availability inland may be limited.

Can I bring my animal to you?

Yes! We can meet you at a prearranged location. Please call us to set something up.

What animals do you work on?

Despite the practice’s name (Mendocino Equine) we enjoy working with:

  • Horses
  • Cattle
  • Sheep
  • Goats
  • Llamas
  • Alpacas

I need some Bute. Can you send me some?

Prescription drugs can legally only be dispensed to established clients in the context of a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship. With that being said, we are happy to provide prescription drugs by mail/UPS to our patients with ongoing problems or chronic conditions, such as bute for horses with arthritis or NuFlor to cattle operations with a history of shipping fever. Until the online pharmacy is up and running, send an email to willson@mendocinovet.com with your request.

My neighbor just got some horses. Are you accepting new clients?

At this time, we are not accepting new clients or servicing Lake County.

What methods of payment are accepted?

In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment is made at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, personal check, and most major credit cards.
